There are many interesting places to go and things to do in Tasmania

For many students, however, the problem of transportation often means that they are unable to experience and enjoy these places and activities.

This site will introduce some places and activities which are not hard to get to, and which international students may enjoy.

The Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens

The picture shown here was taken in the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens. This is one of the easiest attractions to visit as it is a short walk or bike ride from the city centre.

The Botanical Gardens are open from 8am every day. In the summer they stay open until 6:30, but in the winter they close at 5pm. You can find more information from their website http://www.rtbg.tas.gov.au/

Putters Adventure Golf

For the sports minded among you, Putters adventure golf is worth taking a look at. It is conveniently located on Main Road Moonah (at number ten, just after the Creek Road netball courts), which means that getting there by bus is very easy. Most of the Metro buses that leave from stops E, G & H in the Hobart bus mall will stop close by.
You can try mini-golf or virtual golf here, and there is also a children's playground and a cafe to refuel after exhausting yourself on the golf course!!
Their website http://www.putters.com.au/ is fairly simple, but you can move to other pages from the menu at the bottom of their page. Here is a picture from their website. It shows part of their indoor course (so you can still play when it is raining).
